Who We Are
Stephanie Franz
CEO
Stephanie Franz is Chief Executive Officer of H2Electrowatt, a company working to define and implement more sustainable energy solutions.
Prior to joining H2Electrowatt, Ms. Franz worked for Sensata Technologies for over 23 years in a variety of roles supporting Global Customers and Operations. Ms. Franz joined Texas Instruments/Sensata Technologies in 2000 as Marketing Engineer, which quickly expanded responsibility to New Product Development and Global Program launches. Ms. Franz also worked to support the expansion of a more analytical role within the Global Customer Service organization as well as supporting their Attleboro location for Aerospace Thermostat Manufacturing and Quality roles.
Ms. Franz started her professional career at CeraMem, and served in their process and product development teams, working to develop filtration solutions for both gas and liquid media.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
Richard Higgins
EVP Research & Development
Richard Higgins, Sc.D. is Executive Vice President, R&D, for H2Electrowatt. Over 35 years Dr. Higgins has held a variety of technical and business leadership positions encompassing applied product and process research, product development, manufacturing development, business development, and operations. As a principal of CeraMem Corporation in the 1990’s and 2000’s, Dr. Higgins led product development programs for large monolithic ceramic microfiltration and ultrafiltration modules. The successfully developed products of these programs were sold to Corning, Inc. and Veolia. As a technical director at Veolia CeraMem, he continued to lead product improvement, manufacturing development and innovative process application development programs. While at CeraMem, Dr. Higgins led over fifty externally funded applied research and product development programs. Many of these focused on development of innovative ceramic gas separation and molecular separation devices, innovative devices combining separation and catalysis, and novel fuel cell designs. Dr. Higgins holds Sc.D., S.M., and S.B. degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from M.I.T.

Eric Franz
EVP Product Development & Manufacturing
Eric Franz is Co-founder and EVP Product Development & Manufacturing of H2-EletroWatt Co. Prior served as Chief Operations Officer at Vulcan Tools Inc. also Lean Business Leader at Senior Aerospace Metal Bellows. Mr. Franz was Manufacturing Manager Pall Filtron and focused on developing and improving the yield of polymeric membranes for gas & liquid.
Mr. Franz started his professional career at Corning/CeraMem as the Manufacturing Manager, where he was responsible for supporting the development of liquid and gas membranes for ceramic substrates, designing, and implementing from development to manufacturing scale as the organization grew.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology
